Eureka Springs Lodging at the Travelers Inn Motel
Travelers Inn Eureka Springs

Hi! We appreciate you having enough of an interest in us to take the time to read this.We want you to know a little about our wonderful resort so hopefully you to will want to spend some time with us.

It all started in 1978 when the 1st building was built and named the Travelers Inn Motel. The building had about 27 rooms and a living quarters on a little piece of land in the center of Eureka Springs recreational area. In 1980 the motel was sold to Jimmy and Pat Evans, who were from the area. For the next 25 years, the Evans (who were loved by everyone) took great pride in running the motel and treating everyone like they were part of their family. During the 25 years they owned the motel, they purchased all of the land behind the motel (10 acres) and built a beautiful big swimming pool (2nd largest in town behind The Joy Motel) They also built several more buildings with the last one being completed in 1997.

Now with almost 60 rooms, a beautiful 3 bedroom suite, and a meeting room to hold up to 65 people, the Travelers Inn was now complete. Everyone loved the Travelers as it had 10 ½ acres to roam around with numerous picnic areas, a fire pit, BBQ grills, and a huge park like setting with plenty of parking for trailers and what not.

Many groups started to come to the motel for days at a time. It became one of the most popular motels in Eureka Springs. The Evans brought in their son Jimmy and his lovely wife Paula to help with running the motel. Every one loved Jimmy, as there was nothing that Jimmy would not do for you. The guests kept coming back again and again.

By 2005 the senior Evans were deceased and Jimmy decided to put this wonderful motel up for sale. Unfortunately the motel was sold to a group (who shall go nameless for legal reasons) who had no motel experience, and refused to cater to anyone. For the next 4 years, they let the motel go to ruins and lost most of the business that the Evans had built up over the years.

On August 31st the new owners were foreclosed on by the bank and the Travelers Inn was now out of business. The same day, Raycrist Properties Management LLC, purchased the motel on the court house steps.

Raycrist Properties was also the owners of the New Joy Motel and The Red Carpet Inn (formely the Wagner Inn) and knew how to treat their guest in such away that they, too, always came back. They decided to bring the Travelers Inn back to the old days of glory when catering to their guests was the way to go. They contacted Jimmy Evans and consulted with Mr. Evans on what they needed to do to get the old guests back.

The first thing that they did was to create the new website as a means of communication to the public (the old owners stole the website that had been with the Travelers for years). Next Raycrist Properties began cleaning up the motel, updating and installing new carpet, as well as new furniture and other updates and repairs.

The telephone number is also new as the old owners stole the numbers (except for the 800-643-5566).

If you have reservations for 2010, please contact the motel as the old owners stole the reservations book as well. Our new phone number is 479-363-6450.

We are sure that you will love the motel again and are looking forward to seeing you soon.

Last but not least and best of all, our prices are economy priced and very reasonable. You might find a cheaper room in town but then you gotta sleep in it!
